With DC Comics’ big Flashpoint event just around the corner, the company is showing off character designs, which includes the new Element Woman, drawn by Jim Lee.

Wow. Doesn’t look very Jim Lee at all. Actually looks sort of Jae Lee.

Don’t know about this incarnation, but the original was a government spy who was sent into the same pyramid Rex Mason (Metamorpho) went into. It turned her into Element Girl.

She died in a really touching story by Neil Gaiman’s Sandman. I’d heard she was already back, or was coming back or something. She was always kind of a 3rd or 4th tier character.
