McG wants to make comics

Film director McG has announced that his Wonderland Sound and Vision company will launch a graphic novel imprint to capitalize on “transmedia properties”.  The company will team with Aspen Comics to release Haunted City.

“As a filmmaker, I want to work with talent like Chap to build new models that allow us to create more freely,” McG said. “By creating our own original properties, we can guide their development across several media simultaneously and kick off a whole new chapter of our company as a full-spectrum content provider. It also allows me to home-grow the movies I want to direct in the future.”

This isn’t the first time McG’s company has worked on comics, the company has produced comic adaptations of Supernatural, Chuck, and Human Target.
